What is employee induction software?
Employee induction software gives every new member of staff the company's safety induction on their first day, before they are exposed to the workplace, keeps the record of what they completed and how they scored, and then stays with them: refresher training when a module changes, toolbox talks and quizzes through the year, a way to report a hazard or raise a concern, and a sign-in that puts them on the evacuation list every day. It is the part of onboarding that the safety team owns, kept separate from the payroll and IT forms that HR owns.
AtashiTech's employee induction software is a subscription product. Staff use it on their own phone through the employee app or a QR link, and sites run it on an iPad, an Android tablet, a Windows kiosk application and the web browser. It is the employee edition of the platform behind our worker induction software, contractor induction software and visitor sign-in software, so the whole site, staff, contractors, vendors and guests, is on one account and one on-site list. You can ask for a 14-day free trial from this page: we set up your account and email your login details.
Induction day is the easy part. Day 200 is the problem.
What a new starter gets
Most companies induct new employees reasonably well: a morning with the safety officer, a signed sheet, a locker and a lanyard. What goes missing is everything after. The fire procedure changes and the memo is read by half the shift. A forklift incident prompts a toolbox talk that is given to the people who were on that day. The annual refresher is tracked in a spreadsheet that is right in January. A night-shift worker who has never met the safety officer has nobody to tell about the leaking valve. When the inspector asks who was trained on the new machine, the answer is a search.
What the software keeps doing
Every employee has the induction on their phone, in their language, with a test that proves they followed it. When a module is updated, everyone who holds it is asked to retake it before their next sign-in, and the report shows who has not. Toolbox talks are recorded against the people who attended, from the supervisor's phone. Quizzes keep the rules fresh and a leaderboard makes them a game rather than a chore. A hazard, a grievance or an anonymous concern is reported from the same app and tracked to closure. Daily sign-in, by QR or face on the kiosk, keeps the evacuation list honest.
From first day to every day
Add the employee
HR or the site adds the new starter, or imports a list, with department, role and site. The employee receives an invitation to the app or a QR link and sets up their profile with a photo for their pass.
Induct on day one
The modules assigned to their role play on their phone or on the induction tablet: company rules, site hazards, emergency procedures, area-specific briefings. A timed test closes each module and a certificate with a QR code is issued.
Sign in every day
The employee signs in on the kiosk, the tablet or the phone page by QR, or by face where the site has turned it on. They are on the live on-site list and the evacuation roster until they sign out.
Keep them current
Refreshers when a module changes or expires, toolbox talks recorded by supervisors, quizzes through the year and a hazard-reporting button, all in the same app, with the record kept per person.
What is included
Employee register and import
Add staff one by one or import a spreadsheet, with department, role and site. Leavers are deactivated, not deleted, so history stays.
Role-based induction modules
Assign modules by role and site. An office hire sees the office induction; a plant operator sees the plant modules and the machine briefings.
Refreshers and change control
Validity per module and a one-click "updated" flag that asks every holder to retake it. The report shows who is overdue.
Toolbox talks and group training
A supervisor runs a talk from their phone, selects who attended, and the attendance is recorded per employee with the topic and date.
Quizzes and leaderboard
Short safety quizzes with a leaderboard by team or site, so the rules stay fresh between refreshers.
Hazard, grievance and anonymous reports
Report a hazard with a photo, raise a grievance, or submit an anonymous concern. Each is tracked to closure with a status the reporter can see.
Daily sign-in and pass
QR or face sign-in on the kiosk, tablet or phone page. The pass also works as the ID shown to a guard.
Evacuation roster
Everyone signed in, on any phone at the muster point, with tick-off, from the device's own data during an outage.
Rules, manuals and floor maps
Safety rules, equipment manuals and site maps in the app, so the answer to "where is the spill kit" is in every pocket.
Safety assistant
An assistant that answers questions from your own rules and manuals, by text or voice, and says when it does not know rather than guessing.
Multilingual
Modules, tests and the app in the languages your staff speak, chosen once per employee.
Training matrix and exports
Who holds which module, scores, overdue refreshers, talk attendance and reports raised, by site and department, exported to Excel.
Available on every device your staff use
One subscription, one employee record, from the induction tablet to the phone in the pocket.
The 14-day trial runs on Android phones and tablets, Windows kiosks, the web version and the phone QR pages. The iPad and iPhone apps are the same product and are installed for paying customers during onboarding, because Apple distributes business apps through a developer account that is set up per customer deployment.
The training matrix an auditor actually wants
ISO 45001, the OSHA training record rules, the UK Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations and their equivalents all come down to the same request: show that each person was trained for the hazards of their role, when, and that the training is current. The matrix in the portal answers that by employee, role, module and date, with the test answers behind each line. Toolbox-talk attendance and hazard reports sit alongside it, so the picture is the whole safety culture, not just the induction.
Employee data is handled under the same rules as the rest of the platform: a privacy notice before anything is stored, consent for photos and for optional face or fingerprint sign-in, retention periods per site, and European hosting for European customers. Grievances and anonymous reports are visible only to the roles you designate, and the anonymous channel really is anonymous: the reporter's identity is not stored.

Offices and campuses
Fire procedures, first-aiders and floor maps in every pocket, and an evacuation list that is right.

Role-based modules across depots and sites, with anonymous reporting for concerns staff will not raise by name.
From sign-up to the first inducted employee
Request the trial from this page. We email your portal login, usually within one business day, with a demo site, sample modules and a sample employee. Import your staff list or add a few people by hand, assign modules to roles, send the invitations, and install the employee app or share the QR link. The web version and the Android app work at once; the induction tablet and the Windows kiosk pair with a QR code from the portal.
Companies that want help turning existing slides into narrated video, translating modules or connecting the sign-in to turnstiles can ask during the trial. That work is done by the team behind our employee self-service kiosk software and does not change the product you are trialling.
Need it shaped to your company?
The subscription covers the common journey. When your process, hardware or systems are different, we build a customised version for you.
Every customer starts with the same product and configures it from the portal: fields, rules, languages, branding and devices. Some organisations need more than configuration: a flow that follows your own approval chain, screens in your corporate design system, integration with your HR, ERP, access-control or hospital system, a specific badge printer, turnstile or payment terminal, a Windows kiosk built for the hardware you have already bought, or hosting in a particular country. Those are customised versions of the same product, scoped to your requirement and delivered by the team behind our employee self-service kiosk solutions. Larger estates, multi-country groups and public-sector buyers usually take this route, with a pilot first and a contract that names what is being built.
Tell us what is different about your site and we will come back with a scope, not a sales pitch.
