What is employee induction software?
Employee induction software gives every member of staff the company's safety induction before they are exposed to the workplace, keeps the record of what they completed and how they scored, and then stays with them: a badge that signs them in at the gate, quizzes through the year, a way to raise a concern, and the rules and maps of the site in their pocket. It is the part of onboarding that the safety team owns, kept separate from the payroll and IT forms that HR owns.
AtashiTech's employee induction software runs on an Android tablet kiosk, a Windows kiosk application and a browser kiosk at the site, and on the employee's own phone through the Android app or a QR link, with a web portal for the safety team. It is the employee edition of the platform behind our worker induction software, contractor induction software and visitor management software, so the whole site, staff, contractors, vendors and guests, is on one account and one on-site count. You can ask for a 14-day free trial from this page: we set up your account and email your login details.
Induction day is the easy part. Day 200 is the problem.
What a new starter gets
Most companies induct new employees reasonably well: a morning with the safety officer, a signed sheet, a locker and a lanyard. What goes missing is everything after. The sheet records a signature, not whether the person understood. A night-shift worker who has never met the safety officer has nobody to tell about the leaking valve. When the inspector asks who has completed the induction and with what score, the answer is a search through folders.
What the software keeps doing
Every employee takes the induction on the kiosk, signing in with their employee code and PIN or by face, in their own language, with a timed test that proves they followed it. A certificate with a QR code goes to their phone, and the portal shows every employee as certified, not yet passed or not started. Quizzes and a spot-the-hazard game keep the rules fresh. A grievance, feedback or an anonymous concern is raised from the kiosk or a phone page. The employee's badge QR signs them in and out at the gate, so the dashboard shows who is on site now.
From first day to every day
Add the employee
The safety team adds staff in the portal or imports a spreadsheet with department and site. Each employee gets an employee code, a PIN and a badge QR code that can be printed or reissued if lost.
Induct on day one
The employee signs in on the kiosk with their code or mobile and PIN, or by face where it is set up, and the employee modules play: company rules, site hazards, emergency procedures. A timed test closes the induction and a certificate with a QR code is issued.
Sign in every day
The badge QR is scanned on the kiosk, a USB scanner or a guard's phone, or the employee signs in by face or fingerprint where the site has turned it on. The dashboard counts them on site until they sign out.
Keep them engaged
Group training sessions, quizzes and the hazard game through the year, a channel for concerns, and the rules, manuals and floor maps on the kiosk, with every result kept on the employee's record.
What is included
Employee register and import
Add staff one by one or import a spreadsheet with department and site; rows with problems come back in an error sheet to fix. Badge QR codes can be reissued, so a lost badge stops working.
Employee induction modules
Video and PDF lessons with a timed test, set up for employees separately from the modules visitors, vendors and contractors see. Where the company decides no test is needed, the certificate follows the lessons.
Group training
A trainer plays the lessons once on the kiosk and shows a QR code. Employees scan it, sign in with their code and PIN on their own phone, take the test there and download their certificate.
Quizzes and Hazard Hunter
Short safety quizzes by QR with a top-ten leaderboard, and a spot-the-hazard game on the kiosk, so the rules stay fresh after induction.
Grievance, feedback and speak-up
Raise a grievance, give feedback or report a concern anonymously from the kiosk or a phone page, with an optional photo. The anonymous channel keeps no name, device or site.
Badge and daily sign-in
The badge QR signs staff in and out at the gate. Face sign-in on the kiosk and fingerprint sign-in on the Windows kiosk are optional, with consent recorded.
Employee app
On Android phones, staff see their training results and certificates, show their badge QR, invite visitors and approve or reject the visits they host, with push notifications.
Rules, manuals and floor maps
Safety do's and don'ts, equipment manuals and site maps on the kiosk, so the answer to "where is the spill kit" is a tap away.
Safety assistant
An AI assistant on the kiosk and in the portal answers from your own rules and manuals, by text or voice, and says when it does not know rather than guessing.
Multilingual
Lessons and tests in the languages your staff speak, AI translation of the question bank and a video studio that narrates your slides per language.
Results and people history
Every attempt with score and answers, and every employee shown as certified, not yet passed or not started, by site, exported to Excel.
Offline kiosk
The Android tablet and Windows kiosk apps keep inducting and signing staff in without a connection and sync when it returns.
Available on every device your staff use
One subscription, one employee record, from the induction kiosk to the phone in the pocket.
The 14-day trial runs on Android phones and tablets, Windows kiosks, the browser kiosk and the phone QR pages, which cover every feature. iPad and iPhone apps are built on request for customers who need them.
The training record an auditor actually wants
Occupational safety standards and inspectors in every country come down to the same request: show that each person was trained for the hazards of their workplace, when, and how well they understood it. The portal answers that by employee, site and date, with the test answers behind each line and the certificate that was issued. Quiz results, group training sessions and the reports staff have raised sit alongside it, so the picture is the safety culture, not just the induction.
Employee data is handled under the same rules as the rest of the platform: consent recorded before a photo, face or fingerprint is used, biometric sign-in always optional, and a person's record erased on request. Grievances and anonymous reports are reviewed in the portal by the people you give access to, and the anonymous channel stores no name, device or site.

From trial request to the first inducted employee
Request the trial from this page. We set up your account and email your portal login, with a demo site and sample modules. Import your staff list or add a few people by hand, upload your own lessons, and install the employee app or share the QR link. The browser kiosk works at once; the induction tablet and the Windows kiosk are activated with a kiosk login from the portal.
Companies that want help turning existing slides into narrated video, translating modules or connecting the sign-in to turnstiles can ask during the trial. That work is done by the team behind our employee self-service kiosk software and does not change the product you are trialling. The same assistant technology is available on its own as an AI assistant for business.
Need it shaped to your company?
The subscription covers the common journey. When your process, hardware or systems are different, we build a customised version for you.
Every customer starts with the same product and configures it from the portal: fields, rules, languages, branding and devices. Some organisations need more than configuration: modules assigned by role or department, refreshers that expire and are re-assigned on a schedule, toolbox-talk attendance, an evacuation roster, work permits, integration with your HR, ERP or access-control system, a specific badge printer or turnstile, or hosting in a particular country. Those are customised versions of the same product, built on request, scoped to your requirement and delivered by the team behind our employee self-service kiosk solutions. Larger estates, multi-country groups and public-sector buyers usually take this route, with a pilot first and a contract that names what is being built.
Tell us what is different about your site and we will come back with a scope, not a sales pitch.
