Where a kiosk earns its place in a plant

Gate induction for every worker
Before a badge opens the turnstile, the worker watches the site induction in a chosen language, answers a randomised assessment drawn from the question bank and acknowledges the PPE required for their work area. A digitally signed certificate is printed and its expiry tracked, so a lapsed worker is stopped at the kiosk and sent back through the induction. This is the safety training kiosk.
Contractor onboarding and permit-to-work
Third-party crews arrive with trade licences and medical certificates that somebody has to check. The contractor induction kiosk captures the documents, runs the site-specific induction, issues a permit-to-work badge and records the subcontractor hierarchy, so the safety office knows who is inside under which principal contractor when an audit or an evacuation happens.
Shop-floor employee self-service
Operators and line supervisors do not carry laptops, and the HR window is usually on the far side of the plant. An ESS kiosk beside the canteen or the time office gives them payslips, leave applications, attendance corrections and shift schedules through a biometric login, with every transaction written back to the HRMS.
Gatehouse visitor management
Auditors, customers on a plant tour and vendor engineers all pass the same gate. The visitor management kiosk photographs them, captures an identity document, has them sign the site rules and prints a badge, while the host is notified by SMS and the security desk keeps a live list of who is inside the fence.
Refresher training and toolbox talks
Annual refreshers and the daily toolbox talk generate more paperwork than the original induction. The same training engine schedules refresher reminders and records acknowledgements, and where a fixed kiosk is impractical a supervisor can run the talk on a locked-down tablet built under the tablet app development service.
Logistics yards and ports
Driver check-in at a warehouse gate or a container terminal is a queue problem and an induction problem at the same time. A kiosk issues the driver a token, collects vehicle and consignment details, plays the short site-safety briefing and directs the truck to a dock when it is called. The gate cannot wait for the WAN
Plants sit at the end of long fibre runs or on cellular links, and shift change is the moment the connection is most likely to be saturated. The induction video, the question bank and the worker register are held on the kiosk, the turnstile decision is made locally, and the records synchronise to the central system once the link is back. Nobody stands at a closed gate because a server in another city is unreachable, and nobody gets in untrained because the server was unreachable either.

Systems the kiosk has to talk to
The HRMS holds the worker master and receives leave and attendance transactions. The ERP, whether that is SAP, Oracle or AtashiTech's own NexERP, owns contractors and purchase orders. A learning management system may already be the official record of training. The access control system decides which doors a badge opens, and at a logistics site the weighbridge and the yard management system need the vehicle details the driver typed in. Each of these has an API or a file interface, and each is a named integration in the scope rather than something discovered during commissioning.
Regulation, language and the audit trail
The Factories Act and the state factory rules oblige an occupier in India to train workers on the hazards of their work; an ISO 45001 management system expects that training to be recorded and current; and a permit-to-work regime expects to know who authorised what and when. The kiosk produces that evidence as a by-product of being used. A migrant workforce means induction in several languages with audio for workers who read with difficulty, and the evacuation roster has to be printable at the gatehouse even when the network is down. Industrial enclosures, one application
Gatehouse pedestals, turnstile-mounted panels and wall units near the time office all run the same manufacturing safety kiosk application. AtashiTech does not build the enclosure; the plant specifies ingress protection, heat tolerance and vandal resistance with its hardware vendor, and the application is installed on the industrial Windows PC inside.
