NexCommerce

All-in-one business management & e-commerce platform

Overview

What is NexCommerce?

NexCommerce is AtashiTech's business management and e-commerce platform for companies that sell physical products and want the shop, the stock room and the back office to run from one system. It combines a customer-facing storefront with the catalogue, inventory, order, payment and customer records behind it, so a sale made on the website, in a marketplace listing or over WhatsApp lands in the same order queue and draws down the same stock.

Most sellers assemble an e-commerce platform from a hosted shop, an accounting package, a courier dashboard and a spreadsheet of stock. NexCommerce is designed to be the single admin those tools are usually stitched together to imitate. It is built on .NET 10 and PostgreSQL, ships as a web application with mobile access, and is delivered, customised and supported by the team that develops it.

The word platform matters here. NexCommerce is an e-commerce platform in the operational sense: not a storefront theme with plugins, but the system underneath, meaning the catalogue, the stock ledger, the order pipeline, the payment records and the customer database, with the storefront as one of its outputs. That is why a business can begin with online sales and later add a marketplace listing, a second warehouse or a physical store without changing systems.

Who it is for

Who NexCommerce is built for

Three kinds of business get the most from NexCommerce. What they share is not size but the number of places a single order has to be recorded before it is shipped, invoiced and reconciled.

Direct-to-consumer brands outgrowing a hosted shop

A brand that started on a hosted storefront reaches a point where stock is tracked in one tool, invoices are raised in another and customer history lives in a mailing list. Every promotion multiplies the reconciliation work. NexCommerce keeps the storefront but moves catalogue, stock, orders and customer records into the same database, so growth adds orders rather than admin.

Retailers selling from stores and online at once

When a shop counter and a website sell from the same shelf, overselling is the standard failure: the last unit is sold twice and one customer is refunded. Multi-warehouse stock in NexCommerce treats each store, warehouse and marketplace as a location drawing from a shared live count, and low-stock alerts and purchase-order automation act before the shelf empties.

B2B sellers who need invoices, not just checkouts

Distributors and wholesalers selling to trade customers need GST-compliant tax invoices, a clear order history per account and a record of who ordered what. NexCommerce generates the invoice at the point of order, records TCS where marketplace rules require it, and keeps the customer profile and purchase history in the place the sales team already looks.

How it works

How an order moves through NexCommerce

The platform follows the life of an order from listing to repeat purchase. Each stage writes to the same records, which is what removes the manual hand-offs between tools.

01

Build the catalogue

Products are created once with variants, images, pricing and GST codes, either by hand, by CSV import or through the API from an existing ERP. The same record feeds the website and every connected channel, so a price change or a new variant does not have to be repeated in four places.

02

Sell across channels

Orders arrive from the storefront, marketplace listings, Instagram Shop and WhatsApp into one queue. The buyer pays through Razorpay, Stripe, PayU or cash on delivery, and the order is stamped with the channel it came from so attribution is available later without guesswork.

03

Fulfil and invoice

Fulfilment rules route the order to the nearest warehouse holding stock, a GST invoice is generated automatically, and the courier pickup is booked with Shiprocket, Delhivery or Blue Dart. The customer receives a branded tracking page, and returns and refunds follow a defined workflow rather than an email thread.

04

Reconcile and re-engage

Once delivered, stock, payment and customer history are updated together. Reconciliation reports match gateway settlements to orders, and the CRM can send a re-engagement message to a customer who has gone quiet or a recovery message for a cart that was left behind.

Capabilities

Core modules of the e-commerce platform

NexCommerce is modular, but the modules share one data model. The list below is what a standard deployment includes; the implementation section explains how it is adapted to a particular business.

Storefront and channels

A mobile-first storefront with a drag-and-drop page builder and search-ready product pages, plus connectors for Amazon, Flipkart, Instagram Shop and WhatsApp Commerce managed from the same dashboard.

Catalogue and variants

Products with size, colour and other variants, image sets, tax codes and bulk import, with the option to publish an item to some channels and hold it back from others.

Inventory and purchasing

Multi-warehouse stock with FIFO costing, low-stock alerts and purchase-order automation, so replenishment is triggered by the count rather than by someone noticing an empty bin.

Orders and fulfilment

Warehouse routing, fulfilment rules, courier integrations, branded tracking pages and return and refund workflows, all visible on a single order timeline.

Payments and GST

Razorpay, Stripe, PayU and cash on delivery in one checkout, GST-compliant invoices, TCS handling for marketplace orders and settlement reconciliation reports.

Customers and marketing

A profile per customer with purchase history, loyalty points, abandoned-cart recovery, segmented WhatsApp and email campaigns and review management, without a separate marketing tool.

Analytics

Revenue dashboards, product performance, cohort analysis, channel attribution and return-rate reports, with a daily summary sent to the people who need to act on it.

Platform

Platform, integrations and deployment

NexCommerce runs on .NET 10 with a PostgreSQL database and Redis for caching. The storefront and admin are built in React and served through a content delivery network, so product pages stay fast during promotions. It is a multi-tenant platform: each seller's catalogue, orders and customers are isolated by design.

Payment gateway, courier and marketplace connectors are configured per seller during implementation, and the platform exposes an API so an existing ERP or accounting system can push products in and pull orders out. Mobile access covers the admin as well as the storefront, so a stock check or an order status can be looked up from the shop floor. Hosting, environments and monitoring are set up by our cloud, DevOps and integration team as part of the engagement rather than left to the customer.

Use cases

Where NexCommerce is used

The same e-commerce platform serves quite different businesses. These are the patterns we see most, and where a neighbouring AtashiTech product or kiosk solution usually sits alongside it.

Fashion, beauty and lifestyle brands

Deep variant trees, frequent campaigns and a high return rate make this the classic case for one catalogue feeding every channel, with returns handled as a workflow rather than a support ticket.

Multi-store retailers

Stores, warehouses and marketplaces share one stock pool. Retailers that also want a self-checkout kiosk in store get both from the same company; connecting the kiosk to the platform's inventory is scoped as part of the engagement.

Food and packaged-goods brands

A restaurant or food brand selling packaged products online while taking walk-in orders on a self-ordering kiosk keeps its online catalogue in NexCommerce and its counter orders on the kiosk, with one team behind both.

Wholesale and B2B distribution

Trade customers, GST invoices and TCS handling on marketplace orders. Distributors that need full financial accounting, procurement and manufacturing behind the storefront pair NexCommerce with NexERP.

Businesses that want third-party sellers

If the plan is to host other sellers with commissions and split payouts, the right product is NexMarket, which shares NexCommerce's foundations but is built around the marketplace model.

Delivery

Implementation, customisation and support

NexCommerce is delivered as a project, not a download. An engagement starts with a walkthrough of how orders currently move through the business, followed by configuration of the catalogue structure, warehouses, tax settings, payment and courier accounts and the storefront design. Product data is migrated from the existing shop or spreadsheets, channel connectors are switched on one at a time, and the team is trained on the admin before the first live order. A typical first phase covers one storefront, one warehouse and one payment gateway; further channels and locations are added once the team is comfortable with the admin.

Because AtashiTech develops the platform, customisation is a normal part of scope rather than an exception. A different checkout flow, a pricing rule, an integration with a warehouse system or a bespoke report can be built into the product instead of bolted on beside it. Storefront design is handled by our UI/UX design team when a brand needs more than the standard theme, and larger builds on top of the platform are run by our web application development practice.

After go-live the deployment is covered by an annual maintenance contract: support, updates, monitoring and a named point of contact for changes. What the AMC covers is described on the Software Consulting and AMC Support page. Every engagement is scoped and quoted individually according to channels, integrations and volume; we do not publish list prices. For background reading on running commerce and self-service systems together, see the AtashiTech blog.
